CLEEAR Standard and iCAT Implementation

CLEAAR (CarbonLow Emissions Evaluation and Reduction) is the CarbonLow seal of approval confirming that your overall carbon reduction strategy meets best practice international standards.

CarbonLow CLEEAR Standard has been approved by the Environment Agency as a Carbon Trust Standard equivalent and it provides a valuable stepping stone towards the international carbon standard ISO 14064.

Both CLEEAR and iCAT follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) – the most widely recognised Carbon Accounting Protocol – utilising a wide range of constantly up dated carbon emission databases.

iCAT is configured as a web based SaaS (Software as a Service) system meaning that the user always has access to the latest version and up to the minute carbon data.

CLEEAR offers two types of Standards up to five levels; Levels 1 and 2 can be achieved without the implementation of iCAT but the complexity of higher levels requires a degree of integration with business systems due to the high volumes of data involved.

Clear Standard

  • Level 1 – requires Scope 1 and 2 reporting
  • Level 2 – requires Level 1 plus some Scope 3

Clear Standard Plus

  • Level 3 – requires Level 2 plus a Carbon Disclosure Project report and supply chain engagement
  • Level 4 – requires Level 3 plus the verified offset of residual Scope 1 and 2 emissions
  • Level 5 – requires Level 4 plus at least one product with a complete supply chain engagement and neutralised offset.

Our team will pleased to provide a copy of the CLEEAR Standard process and tailor the iCAT implementation to allow you to move through the CLEEAR levels as demanded by your stakeholders and regulated reporting requirements.
